1. Bible. The scene of a final battle between the forces of good and
evil, prophesied to occur at the end of the world.
2. A decisive or catastrophic conflict.
Add "guitar(s)" to Armageddon and you get Guitarmageddon, the flexible-lineup supergroup formed partly by Josh Clark, guitarist of Tea Leaf Green from San Francisco.
This isn't technically Tea Leaf Green, but a related collaboration (see the footnotes for the variable line-up - this time including a fistful of ridiculous guitarists including music professor Fareed Haque). It's a side-project featuring many of Josh's friends and the Bay Area's sickest musicians -- with a special focus on pushing guitar playing past the outer reaches, inspired by the likes of innovator Jimi Hendrix (Third Stone From The Sun, Voodoo Chile), and other classic influences.
The band covers a number of their influences, seemingly focusing on a different artist or style to deconstruct at each of their shows. They continually push the boundaries and test the upper limits of electric guitar-string manipulation. This recording is a formative event for Guitarmaggadeon as they drive the experiment to new galaxies.
Also be sure to check out some straight-up regular Tea Leaf Green shows on the Archive.
